Product Owner

BMC Software is looking for a Product Owner who possesses a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.

As Product Owner, you will be focused on defining product backlog. You will build products backlog from product management requirements and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects.
In this role, you will spend time with customers to understand their problems, find innovative solutions for real-world use cases, and break topics into smaller pieces and prioritize them correctly.
Along with serving as an evangelist for your product and working with key customers, you will communicate with all company areas, including product management, engineering, and management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Managing product backlog and specifying requirements as user stories details & acceptance criteria
• Work closely with product management on the plan and take it to the next level of details Working closely with R&D on grooming backlog items
• Participate in release planning while taking ownership on items planned for the release
• Be an active scrum team member responsible for having stories ready for the team to implement before each sprint
• Be a team member of the product management team Serve as the voice of the customer in product design and development discussions
• Follow our competitors and the industry
• Own the product roadmap and ensure it aligns with the strategic goals
