Role and responsibilities

The Director of Product Management is responsible for products and services planning and Marketing. He/She is managing a team of product managers and is responsible for the full lifecycle of the products:

• setting the product specifications according to the strategy (MRD/PRD)
• building an effective Go To Market strategy and product positioning including training
• Monitor the business results and initiate necessary actions to boost sales

Skills

• Work closely with the marketing team on collateral support and product content
• Strong awareness to market and competition : and reacting properly and smartly
• frequently visit customers (ECPs, Key accounts, Labs, …) to understand their needs and get insights to guide future developments
• conduct relevant product research, establish competitive intelligence and market analyses.
• Developing the necessary trainings to prepare the internal teams for a new launch
• Working closely with R&D teams informing them on the company innovation strategy, be aware of new R&D developments that might have an application in future products/services

Leadership skills

• Oversees and manages the lifecycle of the products and services by leading the team of product managers. It is his/her responsibility to develop the vision and build an understanding and cultivate in the team members the product`s vision
• make sure the products managers are managing their product lines to support the strategy and the growth of Shamir, build the business cases, be close to the markets, be accountable for business performance and building the KPI’s to support it
• A leader, he/she will help the product managers grow by mastering the different tools to manage of the lifecycle of the products
• Have a comprehensive view of innovation portfolio and future developments
